Here are some tips for greenhouse staging!
In the Zone
Organising your greenhouse into zones will assist you in helping you to use the space most effectively. Consider having a potting area, a storage area, edible and non-edible plant areas respectively, and any other sections you can think of. You should keep things that you plan to use regularly in a single place – this way you won’t have to waste that oh-so-precious time hunting them down.
Greenhouses are for living plants, so decide how you would like to organise this space to help them thrive and reach their full potential.
Shelf it!
Shelving is a fantastic way to make full use of the height of your greenhouse. You shouldn’t be limited to the floor space only. Whether you choose freestanding shelves or wall-mounted (if for example, you have a lean-to greenhouse on the side of your building), they are the simplest way to store all of your tools and equipment and even plants.
There is absolutely no restriction on the material you should use, but remember that a slatted design allows for light to penetrate the depths of the greenhouse so plants under or around the stage for example could even still access the sun’s life-giving rays.
Adjustable greenhouse staging is also great because you can store things on a bespoke basis.
Benches galore
If you have space then create a potting bench in your greenhouse with all the tools and equipment that you could need available close by. It is a lot more than just a work surface – it will allow you to garden in all weather conditions.
You can customise your bench by adding hooks, hanging bucks for smaller tools, and labels. You might need tools like string ties, scissors and the like, which are needed when tending to delicate seedlings or gathering cuttings from various plants. Pots can be stored underneath them too.
Waste is a waste of space!
Taking care of rubbish saves not only precious time, but also keeps the greenhouse clean and tidy. Organisation is so important and if you are lacking space it is going to be a real pain. If you have a large greenhouse then you can even have a bin on wheels so that you can pull it behind you as you work to dump waste into it.
Organisation is 👑
You may find that you already have a lot of organisational tools to assist you in the home that would be ideal for gardening, just waiting to be repurposed! Take a look at what you have lying around inside that you no longer need – you may be surprised.
