The Summer Show is Great Comp Garden’s biggest event of the year, held when the garden is at its peak.
This year, for the first time in the event’s 17 year history, exhibitors will showcase their fantastic plants on the North Lawn. This lies to the front of the 17th-century manor house encircled by trees, and home to a collection of unusual flowering perennials.
Visitors can explore the seven-acre grounds and enjoy a glass of Pimms while listening to live jazz.
William Dyson, the owner of Dyson’s Nurseries, has invited nurseries specialising in unusual hardy perennials such as Plantbase, Heucheraholics, Edulis, Southon Plants, Pelham Plants, Pineview Plants, Madrona and Rose Cottage Plants. He will also be sharing three brand new salvias: Amanté, ‘Pink Pong’ and his own ‘Wine & Roses’.
The Old Dairy Tearooms will be serving lunches and teas. Adult £8.50, concs £7.50, child 6-17 £3, under-5s free. Discounts for RHS members.
